Story Snapshot

Naketa West is not limited by geographic space neither will she fit into any stereotype. Her anthology takes you into an abyss of hurt and pain, love and hate, forgiveness, and revenge. As the pages are turned, she reveals the heart and soul of men and women and dances into her readers’ subconsciousness.

Naketa’s journey into the catacombs of the readers’ thoughts. Each reader will wonder who told her my story, her story, his story? Readers will dance to her “word tune” repeatedly while waiting for her new revelations of their experiences.

Snippet of Foreword

I remember meeting her at “Seh Supm”, a poetry event that was staged monthly at the Village Blues Bar in St Andrew, Jamaica. She performed regularly at the gatherings; and was always impressive. Unfortunately, the shows are no longer staged, leaving our poets with limited options to share their craft, leaving a void on our local poetry scene.

A fitting introduction to one of Jamaica’s hidden talents, this collection of verses will appeal to those who have fully experienced the euphoria of being in love, while making the most stoic and sceptic want to taste it.

Her confidence and vulnerability are simultaneously on display as she bravely and eloquently bares her beautiful and passionate soul.

I know you will enjoy reading this as much as I did, so get ready to dance.
