Naketa is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) holding a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Criminology from the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona, along with a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration from the Mona School of Business Management.
Naketa’s mission is to give service that promotes alignment, intentional living, empowerment and fulfilment and synergy. She inspires positive change through leadership and empowerment.
My Professional Odyssey in Human and Social Development
With a wealth of experience exceeding 15 years in human and social development, Naketa has established a robust track record collaborating with local and international organizations across both private and public sectors. Her focus has been on developing and implementing impactful programs and interventions that empower youth, teachers, and professionals in Jamaica and the Caribbean and Latin American region. Together her work has helped to impact the lives of over 300,000 individuals.
Navigating Impactful Roles in Empowering Communities
Her career journey has encompassed pivotal roles at the UNESCO Office of the Caribbean, German Development Agency, Trust for the Americas, Victoria Mutual Foundation, Ministry of Education and Youth, and the National Youth Service. Naketa is a Justice of the Peace for the parish of St. Andrew. She is a member and Distinguished President of the Kiwanis Club of Young Professionals, Kingston; she has served in various roles at her club and divisional level. She is also the Co-Chair for the Young Alumni Advocates of her University, Board member for ROIC Ltd. and Advisor for the Scott Trust Legacies of Enslavement programme.

Naketa’s leadership extends beyond the boardroom, as she has successfully led team building and empowerment sessions with notable entities such as Sandals, Pricesmart, Jamaica National Bank, Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC), and various schools and Kiwanis clubs.
Embracing Creativity and the Dance of Words
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Naketa channels her creativity through poetry, marking a significant milestone with the publication of her first book, “Dance of Love and Other Verses” in October 2020.

Nurturing Love and Devotion in Motherhood
The youngest of 5 girls and despite being born and raised in a prominent inner city in Kingston, Jamaica until age 6, she believes in the power of good parenting #productofgoodparenting.
Dedicated to the journey of being a conscious parent, her most cherished role remains being a devoted mother to her extraordinary daughter who started her journey as a serial entrepreneur at the age of 5 years old.
